Meet Skokie Dentist, David B. Schwartz, DDS

Diplomate – American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine

Dr. David Schwartz has been a practicing dentist in Skokie since 1988.  In 2021, he joined the team at Dental Professionals and is now seeing patients at both the Chicago and Skokie offices.

In addition to practicing general dentistry, Dr. Schwartz is regarded as one of the nation’s foremost experts on dental sleep medicine, which is the use of oral appliances to treat patients with sleep apnea.  He is one of only 250 dentists in the country to be awarded the designation of Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. A thought leader in the field, he is a sought-after lecturer on oral appliances and dental sleep.

Dr. Schwartz is also currently serving as the President of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM).  As a pioneer in the field, he now leads the preeminent organization dedicated to this type of patient care—working to educate other doctors and dentists on best practices as well as direct future research.
